DCS (originally Deadeye's Color System)
Formerly known as Deadeye's Color System, with the permission of Ciper, I am releasing an updated version of DCS now working with Decal 2.9.4.0.  Much of the following information about the plugin and it's use has been moved from the original Deadeye's Color System web page.

System Requirements:
  • .NET Framework 2.0 RTM (Any Beta or Pre-Release versions will not work)
  • Decal 3 Alpha 6 (2.9.5.0) - Decal .NET Lifetime Service MUST be installed

Installation Instructions:

  • Install .NET Framework 2.0 RTM (If not already installed)
  • Install (or re-install) Decal making sure that the .NET Lifetime Service is installed
  • Download DCS from the DOWNLOADS page (save it to your machine, do NOT run it from the web)
  • Run the DCS.msi installer
  • Startup Decal, Load up AC, and have fun!

Version History/Release Notes:
2.0.0.2 (Version 2 Alpha 1):

  • Updated to work with Decal 2.9.5.0
  • Fixed issue where when used in conjunction with other managed code plugins, it could potentially end in a CTD on login/logout
  • Re-wrote color rendering code to be more efficient and render colors correctly after the changes made to Decal made the old code render the wrong colors
1.9.3.0 (Version 1.9 Alpha 3):
  • First release by me
  • Ported to work with Decal 3 Version 2.9.4.0
Introduction
Have you ever seen armor on a tradebot, or in a corpse that you wondered what color it was?  Wouldn't it be nice to know what color the armor was before you bought it and tried it on?  Have you been storing all kinds of armor to sell until you get around to determining what color it is because you know that the first question you will get will always be "What color is it?"?

If you answered "YES!" to any of the above questions, then DCS is definately for you!  Below is a breakdown of some of the features:
  • Show the color of armor and/or clothing without having to put it on
  • Optionally, identify armor and clothing AL, protects, and spells simply by selecting it
  • Find armor with matching colors in your inventory with a single click
  • Generate a list of armor for use on a web page or in a VN Boards post complete with a color swatch, or just simple text
  • Select what you generate lists for: a single item, or a packful at a time
  • Copy to the clipboard a single item, or an entire packful of items, ready to paste into a text file, html document, or VN Boards post
  • Color names table that can be kept current with new colornames using an in-game command

The DCS plugin is organized as follows:

  • The top line is the name of the currently selected item
  • The next four (4) lines are the colors and color names of the currently selected item
  • The Hold buttons on the far left are used to hold the color, to compare to other armor in your inventory.  Click on it, and it will copy the color just to the right of it.
  • The Color buttons just to the right of the Hold buttons is the color swatch for the selected item.  Click on it, and DCS will list all the armor and clothing in your inventory that has that exact color.
  • The color name and number is displayed.  As more colors are added, there may be some colors with the same name, but different numbers.  Usually these colors are from different armors/clothing that have been dyed as different materials may have different shades even if dyed using the same dye as other materials.
  • The check mark on the bottom left is to activate the Auto ID and list function.  Currently this will ID and list ALL armor and clothing in your inventory, or in the trade window.  I recommend only having this checked when browsing your inventory, or the inventory of tradebots.
  • The Text button will send text containing the information of the currently selected item, or all armor/clothing in the selected container to the chat window, in the selected format.
  • The Scan button will identify all items not already identified, and will give an estimate on how long is left to complete identifying the items when clicked again.
  • The check mark between the Scan and Copy buttons, forces all items with color to be identified as they are found.  When checked, it will identify all items not already identified.  It will only list items that are in your current character's inventory.
  • The Copy button will put the text into the clipboard, instead of the chat window
  • The File button will append the text to a file instead of the chat window.  A new file is created each day that this button is clicked.
  • The choice box at the bottom determines the format of the output for text, list, and file formats.  It has no effect on the auto identify format.  Choices are:
    • Single Line Text (Default)
    • Multi Line Text
    • Multi Line w/VN Codes (for posting to VN/IGN boards)
    • Multi Line w/HTML codes (for posting in web pages)
